A Famous Baby.

For today’s newborn session we had a real celebrity in the house.  A couple of hints first…. this famous, in-demand person has never been more relevant.  People have come to love this person and hang on their every word….. Newborns, children, and parents alike revel at just a glimpse of this individual.  So enamored they are, they plan their entire lives around this person.  Any advice or wisdom dispensed from this individual is followed without hesitation.  Who is it you ask?

It is… wait for it… it is… an EMPLOYEE of the CDC here in Atlanta, Georgia!

No, not Dr. Fauci.  Not even a scientist.  Just…. an employee.  But a very lovely, sweet employee.  Kind, generous, and in possession of a beautiful newborn baby named Kaiya!

So you can probably tell from my build up that I spent a couple months prior to mom and baby’s visit prepping for none other than Dr. Fauci himself, only to have my hopes and dreams crushed like a senior citizen who just found out Covid-21 is on the way.

I could tell from the look on mom’s face that I wasn’t the first nobody she had to let down easy when the barrage of questions came hoping for inside knowledge on the pandemic.  Now, of course she could have been stonewalling and in fact really be a top scientist at the CDC.  Similar to how I’m a top baby photographer in Atlanta and I know how sometimes I don’t like to admit that to clients and customers because then I’ll suddenly be fielding hundreds of questions regarding newborn photography, children’s photography, and even wedding photography.

Whether she’s a top player at the CDC, or just an ‘employee’ as she claims, she was very much on top of the safety precautions we’re all supposed to be taking, like wearing masks, etc.  In her original inquiry for the photo shoot back in July she stated – ‘…also want to make sure that we do not expose our newborn to any unnecessary risk as things will only get worse in September/October (not better, unfortunately).’

So it’s clear she knew something, or knew ‘somebody’.  Mrs. Fauci?  Robert Redfield?  We’ll probably never know as the CDC runs a tight ship but that tidbit regarding the virus being worse in October was something I kept in mind throughout the summer when many were anticipating the Fall to be virus-free.  In any case, and to get back to what’s really important in the world, our newborn shoot went off without a hitch and with such a wonderful baby I was able to get some of the best pics of the year!
